We don’t begin today. We began a thousand – thousand mornings ago with others, whose curious hearts, hurting and hopeful, worn weary, yet still watchful led the way longing. The famous ones you’ve heard of: Adam, Noah, King David, Queen Esther, Mary but there were also the unnamed, grouped by collective nouns: They, The People, Women, Others, Those Who Rejoice, Those Who Mourn, The Destitute, The Afflicted, The Mistreated…all,
Commended by faith,
witnesses of our journey
beginning againI don’t begin from strength this year, but in weariness of heart and body, with reduced provisions of determination and discipline. But I do not travel alone. Endurance is a provision for the journey replenished in community and hope is one restored by kindnesses encountered. Trusting this to be true I begin Advent together in community with you. “God has a better plan for us: that their faith and our faith would come together to make one completed whole, their lives of faith not complete apart from ours…” – your life of faith not complete apart from mine, nor mine from yours.

Christmas season for me has begun this morning and led by Laurel who in God’s strength brings encouragement. Be strong in the Lord
Laurel – Thank you for reminding us that we push on through hope born from a heart of reaching for more grace…….Immanuel – which means, “God with us.”
It is an active journey — this one of faith, reaching, pushing, stretching, isn’t it?
Love the quote from Hebrews in the Message.
Good eye Ken — got it in one. Heb 11:40
Lovely! I especially like “Endurance is a provision for the journey replenished in community and hope is one restored by kindnesses encountered.” (I came from Violet’s blog)
Thank you! And you are welcome here
Yes…God with US…not just me…not just you…US!
Thank you. I needed this reminder. In fact, I think Abba has been reminding me, but you’ve helped me to recognise where I am with Him and ALL His Family. HUG!
Shiloh! Nice to hear from you — a hug back to you!
